Welcome to Komodo Guides Company! By booking a trip or using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.

Booking & Payment

To secure your booking, a 30% deposit is required. The remaining 70% balance can be paid on the day of the tour, either in cash or by card.

Please note that card payments are subject to a 3% processing fee.

Bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed upon receipt of the deposit.

To proceed with a booking, guests are required to submit a photo of each participant’s passport. This is necessary for registration with the local authorities and for national park entry permits.

Once your booking request is received, you will be provided with an invoice and payment details. Payments for the deposit are accepted via international bank transfer in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), using platforms such as Wise or Revolut.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation by Guest

Cancellations must be submitted in writing via WhatsApp or email.

  • 15 days or more before departure: The 30% deposit will be fully refunded, minus any transaction/transfer fees.
  • 14 days before departure: 90% of the deposit will be refunded, minus transaction/transfer fees.
  • 13 days before departure: 80% of the deposit will be refunded, minus transaction/transfer fees.
  • 12 days before departure: 70% of the deposit will be refunded, minus transaction/transfer fees.
  • 11 days before departure: 60% of the deposit will be refunded, minus transaction/transfer fees.
  • 10 days before departure: 50% of the deposit will be refunded, minus transaction/transfer fees.
  • 9 days before departure: 30% of the deposit will be refunded, minus transaction/transfer fees.
  • 8 days before departure: The deposit is non-refundable.
  • 7 days before departure until tour day: Guests are required to cover 50% of the total tour cost as a cancellation fee.

Cancellation by the Company

In the event of force majeure circumstances, including but not limited to adverse weather conditions or technical issues such as engine failure, the company reserves the right to cancel or modify the trip.

In such cases:

  • An alternative boat or accommodation will be offered to the guest.
  • If the guest accepts the alternative, the price will be adjusted according to the type of boat or accommodation provided.
  • If the guest declines the alternative option, a full refund of the deposit will be issued (excluding any non-recoverable transaction fees, if applicable).

Travel Requirements

  • Guests must provide a valid passport or ID for booking purposes.

  • It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure they meet visa and entry requirements for Indonesia.

  • Travel insurance is highly recommended to cover any unexpected situations such as trip cancellations, medical emergencies, or lost belongings.

Health & Safety

  • Guests must inform Komodo Guides Company of any medical conditions or dietary restrictions before the trip.

  • The company follows strict safety protocols, and all guests are required to comply with safety instructions given by the guide.

  • Komodo National Park is a remote area with limited medical facilities. Guests should bring any necessary personal medications.

Liability & Responsibility

  • Komodo Guides Company is not liable for any accidents, injuries, or losses that occur during the trip due to personal negligence.

  • Guests participate at their own risk and must follow the guide’s instructions at all times.

  • The company is not responsible for delays, cancellations, or changes due to weather, government regulations, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Code of Conduct

  • Guests must respect local culture, wildlife, and fellow travelers.

  • Littering, damaging coral reefs, or disturbing animals in Komodo National Park is strictly prohibited.

  • Any behavior that disrupts the experience for others may result in removal from the tour without a refund.

Photography & Media

  • By joining the tour, guests agree that Komodo Guides Company may use photos or videos taken during the trip for promotional purposes.

  • If a guest does not wish to be featured in promotional material, they must inform the company in advance.

Force Majeure

  • The company is not liable for failure to fulfill obligations due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, political instability, pandemics, or transportation issues.

Amendments to Terms

  • Komodo Guides Company reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time.

  • Continued use of our services after modifications constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
